Coping With Life in the Big City

Share

I am writing in response to an article in View, “Julian Is Where the Living Is” (by Mike Granberry, Jan. 27). I have no discord with the article, but I’m sick and tired of reading in a large paper about using running away as a means of coping with the big city.

I feel a newspaper of your size and circulation has a responsibility to show how people can and do live a good life within this metropolis.

We have many problems, and due to the number of people they appear overwhelming, but I feel if each individual accepts a certain responsibility, it will change. I feel there are a lot people coping admirably. The fact that most freeway drivers are courteous and responsible is one testimony.

I just would like some positive feelings from your newspaper about this life style as well.
