Catfish Attracted to Muddy Waters

Recent rains have improved catfish activity at several Southland reservoirs. Fast moving waters flowing from stream mouths are carrying food into lakes, attracting catfish to muddy-water shallows near creek mouths.

Fishermen working stream mouths at Lakes Cachuma, Piru and Isabella and at Irvine Lake all reported increased catfish success this week.
