Robert J. Dal Ponte, 48, president of Pacific Scientific’s Motor & Control Division, has been named a corporate vice president by the company’s board of directors. Richard V. Plat, Pacific Scientific’s vice president of finance and administration, said presidents of the company’s large divisions generally are named to corporate vice presidencies as well. Pacific Scientific, headquartered in Anaheim, manufactures electronic instruments, motors and aerospace products.
