German Prime Rate 3.5%

FRANKFURT, West Germany —
West Germany’s central bank, the Bundesbank, announced a cut in its key lending rate today from 4% to 3.5% in a move the government said was a signal for other countries to do the same. The cut will take effect Friday, officials said.
