Inmate Squeezes Through 5 1/2-Inch-Wide Gap, Flees

CRANSTON, R.I. —
An inmate at Rhode Island’s highest-security prison squeezed through a 5 1/2-inch-wide window and escaped, corrections officials said Sunday. The 5-foot-7, 120-pound prisoner was captured about two hours after he fled from the Adult Correctional Institution’s “Supermax” section.
