Bell Gardens : Club Will Offer New Games

The City Council Monday unanimously adopted a resolution approving rules that would allow the variations of pai gow --Pan 9, Super Pan 9 and pai gow poker--to be played at the Bicycle Club.

Although pai gow is played with tiles, the other three are card games. The action came at the request of the Bicycle Club, which “feels it’s losing business” from area competition, said Peter Wallin, city attorney. The Huntington Park Casino and the California Bell Club both offer pai gow poker and Super Pan 9. The Silver Saddle Casino in Cudahy also offers pai gow poker.

Games now played at the Bell Gardens casino are draw and low-ball poker, pai gow and pan.
