The Nation : Alabama Tornado Kills 2
Waves of thunderstorms with damaging wind, tornadoes and large hail swept from Texas into Alabama, killing at least two people, tossing trucks and derailing a freight train in the second barrage of deadly storms this week. In the latest storms, two people were killed when a tornado struck rural homes near Carrollton, Ala. State officials said tornadoes touched down in several other areas. “We have houses blown down on people. We have a row of houses that was blown down, we have a row of mobile homes that was blown over,” said Virginia Kennedy of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
