DINNER THEATERS’ MENUS SPARKLE WITH FUN : ‘ALONE TOGETHER’

Harlequin Dinner Playhouse has extended the run of Lawrence Roman’s comedy “‘Alone Together” through April 13.

The comedy, making its West Coast premiere at the Santa Ana dinner theater, revolves around a long-married couple who are looking forward to some peace and quiet now that their adult children have flown the nest, only to have the kids--and their problems--descend upon them once again.

Reviewing the production for Calendar on Feb. 7, Elisabeth Graham noted: “The Harlequin Dinner Theatre production of the new play ‘Alone Together’ gives a genial and fairly honest treatment to the familiar situation of adult children who think nothing of imposing on their parents. Although the production tends to slide into a predictable sitcom rhythm, it succeeds by virtue of its sly and completely likable approach to the material.”
