Cuyamaca
The search continued Monday night for a Mexican youth who became lost during a school outing over the weekend at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, sheriff’s deputies said.
Abram Ortiz, 13, of Tijuana was among four busloads of Mexican school children on an outing at the Paso Picacho Park area. After the schoolchildren left their campground and split up into smaller groups to go exploring around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, said deputies, Ortiz apparently became lost trying to take a shortcut back to the campground. He hasn’t been seen since, deputies said. Ortiz is described as 4 feet 10, weighing 85 pounds. He was wearing a white sweater, blue jean and tennis shoes.
