‘Justice Denied’

Share

Your appalling conclusion that “The way to prevent police abuse is to throw out the conviction” betrays the same insensitivity to the victim of a crime that has undermined the public’s confidence in our judicial process.

The question of guilt is not your issue, but whether every etiquette of a cumbersome legal framework has been exhaustively considered. Even the suggestion of a breach, itself a debatable matter, seems to take on Gargantuan proportions and overpower the weight and substance of a trial, which most people would agree has served the cause of justice. I feel that the application of your point of view has helped to undermine the efficacy and credibility of our legal system.
