MUNICH, West Germany —
A Munich woman died shortly after giving birth to sextuplets--three boys and three girls--hospital officials said today.
Officials at Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital said the woman, whose name was not made public, died Monday night of a lung embolism.
The babies, in the 30th week of gestation, were born about noon Monday. They are in guarded condition. “Doctors will try to pull them through,” a hospital spokesman said.
