Expert Help Needed
As a concert goer, I have been watching with interest the coverage over the last few weeks of the financial troubles of the symphony. While it’s a relief to know the needed $2 million has been received, measures can be taken so this kind of crisis doesn’t recur.
The most realistic idea I’ve heard is to have a panel of orchestra management experts to oversee and guide, when necessary, the operations of the symphony. This has worked in other cities where the orchestra was once in a similar plight and I think it could work in San Diego.
