Los Angeles’ comparative cost of living improved.

The cost of living in Los Angeles relative to other U.S. cities fell to 13.9% above the national average during the fourth quarter of 1985, compared to 16.6% in the first quarter of the year, according to a survey released by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Los Angeles, which didn’t participate in the survey for the fourth quarter of 1984, ranked fifth among the 19 major cities studied by the American Chamber of Commerce Research Assn.
