Work Started on Apartment Units in Westwood

Construction has begun on a $1.75-million, 16-unit luxury apartment at 10916 Ashton St., Westwood, being developed by Greater Los Angeles Development Co. and investor Phillip Sobel, according to Richard S. Herschenfeld, president of the development company.

The eight two-bedroom and eight one-bedroom project will have l5,000 square feet of rentable space on four stories above two garage levels, one subterranean, totaling l0,000 square feet. Completion is expected in December.

Jack Hollander & Associates are the architects, while construction management services are being provided by Investors Associates Inc.
