Chrysler paid Lee Iacocca $1.6 million in 1985.

Iacocca received the $1.6 million last year in salary and bonuses and has made an additional $15.5 million in profits over the past five years under an executive stock option plan, Chrysler disclosed in its annual proxy statement to shareholders. Iacocca’s salary for 1985 as Chrysler chairman was $667,455, up 17% from the previous year, and his bonus was $950,000, up 50%. Iacocca’s earnings and bonus were based on 1984, when the No. 3 auto maker earned a record net profit of $2.4 billion.
