Five convicted murderers were hanged in Zimbabwe, including two rebels who killed two Americans and four other foreign tourists in 1982. The two rebels, Gilbert Ngwenya, 44, and Austin Mpofu, 27, were among Ndebele insurgents who abducted and eventually murdered Americans Brett Baldwin and Kevin Ellis, Britons James Greenwell and Martin Hodson and Australians Tony Bajzelj and William Butler.
