A Solution
Here’s a solution to the problem France and the United States are having in getting rid of Jean-Claude Duvalier and Ferdinand Marcos. Why not send them back to their respective countries like any other criminals and let them face the music?
In the case of Marcos (who may go down in history as the world’s biggest thief), it would undoubtedly help the Philippine nation recoup the money that he stole. Or does the fact that being an ex-president gives one the right to lead the good life despite the Gargantuan corruption?
We do not owe these people anything. We do owe their countries a chance to see that justice is done.
