Italian magistrates ordered the trial of Palestine Liberation Front leader Abul Abbas and 13 others on charges stemming from the hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise ship in the Mediterranean last October. One elderly American passenger, Leon Klinghoffer, was shot to death and his body dumped overboard. The charges include murder, kidnaping and assault.
