Robert Anderson, chairman and chief executive officer of Rockwell International Corp., and Bernard Fauber, chairman and chief executive of K Mart Corp., received honorary degrees from the Pepperdine University School of Business and Management during a graduation ceremony Saturday for about 350 students.

Anderson delivered the keynote speech, telling the business graduates that the American manned space program will resume in the aftermath of the shuttle Challenger explosion, but international satellite-launching competition will have sharpened during the hiatus. R. Ken Coit, a partner in the Walnut Creek financial planning firm of Coit-Gemmer, was honored as the school’s outstanding alumnus.
