Share

A new awards program for vocational education programs that best exemplify outstanding construction skills training in the building industry, has been announced by the Home Builders Institute.

Dale Stuard, chairman of HBI, said “taxpayers have long supported the vocational system that produced skilled construction craftsmen for the housing and building industry, and it is time for our industry to publicly acknowledge this contribution.”

The program selected for the 1986 Award for Excellence in Housing and Building will receive a travel grant of $1,000 for a representative to attend the 1986 American Vocational Convention and the 1987 National Assn. of Home Builders’ Annual Exposition and Convention.
