Baker Leads in Tournament of Champions

Mark Baker of Garden Grove, Calif., held a 22-pin lead Thursday night over Marshall Holman of Medford, Ore., after four rounds of the $250,000 Firestone Tournament of Champions.

Baker opened the match-play competition with a 290 game and went on to win six of his eight matches. He finished the night with a pinfall total of 7,336 and a 223.6 average through 32 games.

Holman , who won this tournament in 1976, rolled a 253 his final gameand finished at 7,314.
