If Ted Bundy lives long enough to see his life reproduced in the NBC miniseries “Deliberate Stranger” next Sunday and May 5 (Mark Harmon plays the darkly handsome killer), he’ll have to watch from his Death Row holding cell in Florida State Prison.

Bundy, 39, murdered two college sorority sisters and a 12-year-old girl in Florida (and is suspected in the deaths of at least 36 young women in five other states). He’s been living on borrowed time since his March 4 execution in the electric chair was stayed.

An NBC spokesman said the timing--during the high-profile May sweeps and on the heels of the original execution date--was “purely coincidental.”

Bundy has a TV in his cell and a prison official told us, “He can watch it any time he wants.” Richard W. Larsen, a longtime Bundy friend and author of the book on which the script was based, said, “You’re damn right he’ll watch it. He couldn’t resist.”
