Newsman in Poland Jailed as CIA Spy

WARSAW —
A journalist was sentenced by a military court to eight years in prison for passing military secrets to the CIA, Polish television reported.
Jozef Szaniawski, who was shown sitting in the dock during a court hearing, pleaded guilty of spying for CIA for 11 years until his arrest last August, the weekend report said.
The report said Szaniawski received $15,000 for his services. It did not give his age nor the name of the newspaper he allegedly worked for.
