David M. Gustafson was named chief executive of Valley Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys, a 213-bed general care facility. Gustafson comes from Memorial Medical Center in Watertown, S. D., where he also was chief executive. He replaces Rick Skillman, now a regional vice president for Chatsworth-based HealthWest.
