Reformatory Inmates Riot and Start Fires

WASHINGTON —
Inmates set fire to two buildings at the Lorton Reformatory complex Monday in a riot that erupted after an early morning power outage, authorities said.
A correctional officer and as many as 10 inmates were injured. Power was restored after about 50 minutes, authorities said, but one building was heavily damaged in the fire. It was not known what caused the outage.
