Israel captured a gang believed responsible for four shootings in Arab East Jerusalem in the last eight weeks. The suspects’ names were not published on court order, but police spokesman Rafi Levi said they are members of the Abu Moussa Palestinian faction. Security sources said six people have been arrested and that more arrests are expected. The suspects are accused of killing, among others, British tourist Paul Appleby. The disclosure threw doubt on the claim by the Abu Nidal group that it killed Appleby in reprisal for British support of the U.S. Libya attack.
