A study at the National Institutes of Health’s hospital offers new evidence that health workers have only an extremely low risk of getting AIDS from patients, scientists said. In a report published in the May issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers said that none of 531 health care workers, some in close contact with patients’ blood and bodily fluids, showed any evidence of developing acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
