Three men convicted of robbing the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum of $285,000 in 1983, have been given prison sentences of up to 19 years. Steven L. Jackson, 30, of Los Angeles, drew the longest sentence; Haley James, 32, of San Francisco, and David Spellman, 22, of Los Angeles, were sentenced to nine and seven years, respectively. The three armed men overpowered a security guard and robbed the Coliseum money-counting room after a game between the Los Angeles Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks. They had gained information about security measures from a Coliseum employee, authorities said.
