Datametrics has won a multimillion-dollar contract to supply computer printers for a U. S. Army communications network being made by Magnavox.

Chatsworth-based Datametrics, a leading maker of military printers, said the deal will be worth $2.8 million at first. The company added, however, that the project calls for Magnavox to spend $11 million with Datametrics over the next five years if the communications network goes into full production.
