Orange : Drive to Obtain Food for Needy to Begin Monday

A drive to collect canned food for the needy was announced Wednesday by Tom Fuentes, president of the Food Distribution Center, and Carl Karcher, restaurant chain owner.

Carl’s Jr. restaurants will collect food for the drive, which will begin Monday and continue through May 25. Collected cans will be donated to the Food Distribution Center in Orange, which distributes food to 170 county agencies assisting the poor.

The distribution center receives food donations from corporations, local grocery chains and wholesalers.
