Italy ordered out five Libyan employees of a Rome-based publishing company, including the company president, one day after expelling eight Libyan diplomatic personnel. A police spokesman said the five were working without necessary permits and that their ouster is not connected to the diplomatic expulsions. Tension has risen between Italy and its former North African colony since the European Communities last month labeled Libya a supporter of terrorism and member nations began restricting Libyan diplomatic activity across Europe.
