Renaissance Offers 103 Homes on View Ridge in San Diego

Renaissance, which will eventually consist of 103 single-family homes, opens sales today with the release of 15 homes scheduled for July occupancy. They range along a ridge overlooking Miramar Lake at Scripps Ranch North, San Diego.

The homes, designed by architect Robert Bowlus, are offered in five floor plans with three or four bedrooms and two or three baths in 1,948 to 2,736 square feet. They are priced from $197,900 to $296,900 with conventional financing.

Interiors contain such features as two wood-burning fireplaces in each home, solid-core entry doors eight feet tall, stairways with oak banisters, entry flooring of imported ceramic tile, hand-troweled vaulted ceilings, recessed “can” lighting, interior laundry areas, wet bars in three plans and the choice of a two- or three-car garage.

Exteriors of the Mediterranean-style homes feature Spanish-lace stucco in coral and sunset pastel colors with frost-white trim and terra-cotta tile roofs and accents. Some plans have fan windows. Homeowners will receive discounted memberships in the Scripps Ranch Swim & Racquet Club.

Renaissance is developed by a joint venture of McMillin Development and Great American Development Co., a subsidiary of Great American First Savings Bank. The five model homes, furnished by Laurie Ann Interiors of National City, are open from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. on weekends and until 5 p.m. on weekdays at 10614 Sunset Ridge Drive.
