The Lion’s Gate Roadrunners of North Vancouver, B.C., won the first annual Okanagan Express Relay at Summerland, B.C., a 500-kilometer, mountainous course in 29 hours, 31 minutes and 13 seconds. A team from the Los Angeles Police Department finished second in the relay, which began Friday night outside the gates of Expo ‘86, in a time of 32:18.25. Seventeen teams competed.
