Advice on Paris

I took Jerry Hulse’s advice, and thank goodness (Nov. 3, 1985, “Paris: Going back to the small hotels”). I stayed at Hotel Saint Simon, Jerry’s first choice. It was as good as he promised. I was in Room 24 with its own patio and view of the front courtyard and ground-floor terraces. It is conveniently close (one block) to Rue du Bac and Boulevards Saint Germaine and Raspail and yet quiet. Cost was 600 francs per day. Courtesy was plentiful, but I do hope the manager has cause to be more cheerful soon.
