Stater Bros. board reinstated Brown as president.

Jack H. Brown, who was ousted as president in February, also was elected chairman of the grocery store chain, replacing Bernard Garrett. Garrett remains as a director. A Delaware Chancery Court judge ruled that Garrett and his investment group lost a bid to elect three directors to Stater’s board, and Brown’s investment group succeeded in gaining control of the Colton company. Garrett is appealing that decision.
