Embezzler Sentenced

PEKING — A former bank manager who embezzled more than $300,000 from the state has been given a suspended death sentence, the People’s Daily said Wednesday. It said that Chen Yanchang, former head of the County Agricultural Bank of Fuquan in southwest Guizhou province, will be executed in two years if he does not reform.
