Charges of Racketeering Added in Firebombing Case Against Women
Two Dana Point women facing conspiracy charges for allegedly participating in the firebombing of two cars now face racketeering charges as well.
A new federal grand jury indictment unsealed Thursday accuses the women and their alleged accomplices of forming a criminal conspiracy to “harass, intimidate and injure former employees.”
The defendants, Charlotte Ruth Wyckoff, 51, and Elizabeth Leta Hamilton, 39, own five Pacific Coast Preparatory schools in Orange and San Bernardino counties. The indictment alleges that the two women hired the owner of an Alabama camp for mercenaries to bomb the cars of two of their former teachers.
Cars belonging to Robyn Rishoff of Etiwanda and Harriet Russo of Ontario were destroyed by homemade gasoline bombs on Aug. 13. No one was injured.
The original indictment alleges that the bombings were organized by Franklin Camper, 22, who owns and operates the Mercenary Assn. training school at Hueytown, Ala.
The new indictment also charges Camper’s girlfriend, Ann Faulk, 28, with racketeering.
A trial has been set for July 22.
