Rental Retirement Project Under Way

December completion is scheduled for the $5-million, 123-unit Villa de Anza retirement apartment hotel under construction at 5881 El Palomino Drive in the Indian Hills area near Riverside. Rentals will range from $895 to $2,000 a month on a month-to-month basis; there is no endowment fee. The rent includes three meals a day.

The project incorporates the Palomino Station, an existing building on the site north of Limonite Avenue. The development partners are Mac Brinegar of Coastwide Construction Co., Henry C. Cox, John L. West and Eddie Fischer, owners of the De Anza Shopping Center. Cox and West are also the owners of the nearby Indian Hills Country Club.
