Gate-Guarded Homes Open in Laguna Niguel

Laguna Sur, featuring two- and three-story single-family houses with six floor plans and 1,911 to 3,219 square feet of living area, opens today in Laguna Niguel.

The first phase of the gate-guarded Homes by the Polygon development firm has 47 two- and three-bedroom homes priced from $240,000 to $450,000. The project will eventually have 255 houses in 12 phases. Move-ins for the first phase are scheduled for September and October and 31 houses in the first phase have been reserved.

Standard features include game rooms or dens, master bedroom suites with fireplaces, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, cathedral ceilings, skylights and breakfast nooks. Exterior design features Mediterranean villa-style architecture.

A monthly homeowners association fee of about $250 pays for common area maintenance, including two swimming pools, two tennis courts and whirlpool spas.

Five furnished models are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 54 St. Tropez St., reached from Crown Valley Parkway.
