Suzanne Heim, a 27-year-old teacher whose specialty is endurance swimming, Sunday became the first person to complete the 15-mile round-trip swim between the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Heim, who has swum the English Channel, completed the rough, windswept swim in 3 hours 28 minutes.
