‘Pound Seizure’ for Research

Your editorial (June 17) supports using unclaimed animals from pounds for laboratory experimentation. I believe this is extremely cruel because many of these animals have lived all their lives as pets, and to go from that life to the terrors of the laboratory would be like going to a living hell.
