4 Die in Latest Punjab Violence

NEW DELHI —
Four people were killed in Punjab today in continuing violence between Sikh extremists and paramilitary forces.
The Press Trust of India said a Border Security Force constable and two bystanders--a mother and son--died in cross fire as paramilitary forces attacked a gang of extremists in the Dera Baba Nanak region bordering Pakistan. In another incident, extremists shot dead a village headman near the Sikh holy city of Amritsar.
