AIDS Funds Pledged

GENEVA —
Government health officials and scientists from 30 countries met Saturday to make financial pledges for a $12 million World Health Organization (WHO) global strategy to curtail the ominous AIDS virus, but only Sweden committed a minimum of $1 million. The U.S. Agency for International Development earlier this month announced a $2-million grant to help WHO.
