Climaxing what is called the longest camp-out in San Diego County’s real estate history, Sunset Ridge opens this weekend in Scripps Ranch North with 17 of its planned 109 single-family detached homes released for sale at prices from $144,900 to $199,900.

A spokesman for the developer, a joint venture of McMillin Development of San Diego and Great American Development Co., said the first in line, U. S. Navy Lt. (j.g.) Ed Salvador, started the waiting line May 24 and had been there 35 days when sales opened Saturday.

The homes are offered in four floor plans in one- and two-story and tri-level arrangements, with three and four bedrooms and two and three baths in 1,509 to 2,092 square feet, with both two- and three-car garages, on lots of 6,000 square feet or more.
