Quality Systems Reports Turnaround From Loss

Share

Quality Systems Inc., a Tustin supplier of computer processing systems for medical and dental offices, reported net earnings of $383,000 for the fiscal year ended March 31, contrasted with a loss of $1.1 million in its fiscal 1985. The company said revenues of $10.1 million were up 13% from $9.4 million.

The company’s fourth quarter net earnings were $125,000, contrasted with a loss of $592,000 last year, and revenues were $3.2 million, a 35% increase from $2 million.

Glenn B. Hetzel, vice president and chief financial officer, said the improvement came largely from savings from increased automation in the company’s customer support departments and the combination of the medical and dental sales groups into a single unit that resulted in a cut in overhead through reduction of staff, paperwork and duplication of jobs.
