Nuclear Plant Starts Up After 10-Month Shutdown

MONTPELIER, Vt. —
The Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant resumed operation Monday after being shut down for 10 months for refueling and repairs. A problem with one of the plant’s 89 control rods prevented the plant from being reopened as scheduled last week.
