The group extended its $44-per-share cash tender offer until Aug. 29, the expiration date set by U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor in Detroit in a preliminary injunction against rival bidder LMC Holdings. The judge barred LMC, which includes some Fruehauf officers and Merrill Lynch & Co., from accepting any more tendered shares under its offer of $48.50 a share.
