A 5-year-old Finnish boy was killed and six people were injured when a motorcycle driven by West German Detlef Osvald Vogt slammed into spectators during a 500cc road race at Imatra, Finland.
Juha Matti Pettri Honkasalo died, and his father, mother and older brother were among those injured after Vogt lost control of his motorcycle. Vogt, 29, was not badly hurt. Officials said the front wheel brakes of his motorcycle had malfunctioned.
