Westchester : Pollution Conference Set
Toxic dumping, contamination of drinking water and pollution of Santa Monica Bay will be topics of a free conference sponsored by the political science department of Loyola-Marymount University and the Coastal Environment Coalition on Aug. 16 on the Westchester campus.
Lt. Gov. Leo McCarthy will give the keynote speech at 10 a.m. and the event, called the Land and Sea Conference, will continue until 3 p.m. with panel discussions and presentations by environmental groups, elected officials and government agencies.
