‘Worm in the Constitution’

I disagree with your editorial.

The 22nd Amendment should be retained. As for Ronald Reagan, it is preposterous because of his age alone. There have been heads of state over 80 years of age, but they are either dictators or prime ministers in a parliamentary system where they can be removed from office at any time.

No President is elected alone. He carries with him an entourage of cohorts, or sycophants, some of whom are in positions of power solely because they are cronies of the President--or his wife.

Reagan has named half of the federal judiciary now. Should he name them all? Is there no correct view of our society or its welfare, except ultraconservative?

I hope the movement to repeal the 22nd Amendment dies as did the movement to name George Washington “King of America.”
